Video Editor Basics

The video editor in Reports.re allows you to edit and arrange your videos directly within your workflow. You can combine multiple files, adjust clips, and export your final video without leaving the platform.

This guide covers the basic features and layout to help you get started quickly.

Getting Started

To open the video editor:

  • Right-click on a video file.
  • Click "Open in Video Editor".
  • Select the version you want to use (the latest version is BB, but older versions are also available).

Main Sections of the Video Editor

1. Video Preview

In the center, you will see the video preview with its timestamp. This allows you to monitor your edits in real time.

2. Timeline

At the bottom, you will find the timeline, where you can:

  • Arrange clips
  • Trim videos
  • Manage multiple file

3. Editing Tools

Just above the timeline, there are tools for making adjustments, including:

  • Selecting and cutting clips
  • Taking screenshots
  • Adjusting playback speed
  • Adding text
  • Uploading files
  • Scaling the timeline for better control

4. Top Panel Controls

On the top panel, there are several tools to help you manage your project:

On the Left side:

  • Clips mode
  • Create Card
  • Subtitles
  • Connect Cards
  • Resolution settings
  • Video project title

On the Right side:

  • Saving projects
  • Reverting actions (Undo and Redo)
  • Viewing results
  • Running automation
  • Exporting videos

Basic Editing Workflow

1. Add Video Files

  • Click "Add File".
  • Select "Video Files".
  • Choose the files from the file manager.
  • Click "Save".

The selected videos will appear on the timeline.

2. Add Audio Files

  • Click "Add File".
  • Select "Audio Files".
  • Choose your audio file.
  • Click "Save".

The audio will be added to the timeline.

3. Arrange Clips




Drag and move clips directly on the timeline to change their order

4. Trim Video Clips

If your video is longer than the audio:

  • Click the trim icon.
  • Select the part you want to cut on the timeline.
  • Right-click the trimmed section.
  • Click "Delete".

This helps match the video duration with the audio.

Exporting Your Video

  • Click "Export", or go to export settings.

If you choose to configure the settings:

  • Export location
  • Output file name
  • Tags
  • Video output option
  • Click "Export" to start processing.

Accessing the Final Video

The video is rendered in the cloud, so you can continue working while it processes.

Once completed:

  • Click the folder icon beside the stage status to open it in the Light File Manager.
  • Or access it through the File Manager using the folder icon at the top.
  • You will the exported file on the selected location.
