To increase upload speed, switch to V2 uploader mode.
It optimizes the upload algorithm. In some cases, it can double upload speed.
It has some side effects. The tab where you upload the files must always be in the visible part of the screen. Otherwise, the upload will stop and resume when the tab becomes visible again.
V2 is helpful when you need files to be uploaded as soon as possible.
If speed doesn't really matter and you don't want to bother yourself with keeping the tab visible in the browser, it is recommended to use V1. In this case, the upload will continue even if you switch to another tab.
How to change the uploader version from V1 to V2
- Click the upload icon in the top-right corner of the screen to open the uploader panel.
- In the uploader panel, find the version dropdown at the top. It is currently set to V1.
- Click the V1 dropdown arrow to open the list of available versions.
- Select V2 from the list.
Important! The version will apply only to the next files. If you switched in the middle of the upload, the file will finish uploading in the version it started uploading with.
