Setting up an outlet in Reports.re allows you to connect your social media channels, such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok, so you can publish content and access analytics directly from the platform.
Follow the steps below to complete your setup smoothly.
1. Open the Outlets Section
- Hover over “Workspace Settings” in the sidebar.
- Select “Outlets.”
- Click “Channel Setup Assistant” at the bottom to begin the setup process.
2. Authorize Your Channel
- Choose the platform you want to connect.
- Click “Authorize new channel or account.”
- Follow the on-screen prompts to log in and grant Reports.re access to your account.
- Wait for the authorization to complete — this may take a moment, depending on the platform’s response. Once completed, select your channel and click “Continue.”
Note: It may take some time for YouTube channels to appear after authorization, as it depends on YouTube processing the request.
3. Connect the Authorized Channel to an Outlet

- If not, click “Create New.”
Fill in the following details:
- Name – use the same name as your YouTube channel or page.

- URL to Channel – paste the direct link to your YouTube channel.
- Made for Kids – check this if your channel is marked as such on YouTube.
- Email – enter the email used for the channel registration.
- Click “Add” to create the outlet.
- Once done, select the outlet and click “Continue.”
4. Link the Channel to a Group
- Choose an existing group from the list.
- If no suitable group exists, click “Create New.”
- Enter the group name and add the outlet.
- Select an outlet and the content type (e.g., video, image, short).
The content type is required for automation. It helps Reports.re determine what contents will be published.
- Click “Continue.”
5. Choose the Language Version
- Select the appropriate language version for the channel.
- Click “Continue.”
6. Set a Publishing Schedule (Optional)
This step is optional — you can skip it if you prefer to set it later.
To automate publishing:
- Enter a schedule title.
- Choose the frequency (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly).
- Click “Add Slot” and set when the content will be published (e.g., every Monday at 1:00 AM).
- Set the start date and define how long the schedule will remain active (e.g., 90 days).
7. Finalize the Setup

- Click “Save” to complete the setup.
- The outlet will be available on the list.
