Dynamic Card Title Generation helps you automatically create titles for compilation cards, making the process faster and easier. Instead of manually naming each compilation card, Reports.re can generate titles based on the content and settings you choose.
Name-Based Title Generation
Name-Based Title Generation creates a title by combining the titles from all cards included within the compilation card.
You can:
- Use separators such as dashes, spaces, or other symbols to separate the titles.
Groups-Based Title Generation
Groups-Based Title Generation creates titles using the Card ID within its group.
You can:
- Customize the separator.
- Set the minimum number of digits for the Card ID.
You can optionally include the title from the first card along with these settings:
- Place the first card title at the beginning or the end.
- Define the separator between the Card ID and title.
- Apply text filters to extract specific parts of the title (e.g., extract text from the beginning up to the first space).
ID-Based Generation
ID-Based Generation creates titles using selected IDs such as:
- Card ID
- Workspace ID
- Global ID
Multiple IDs can also be combined together.
You can also:
- Customize the separator between IDs.
- Define the minimum digit length.
- Optionally include the first card title using the same settings as before.
Apply Dynamic Title Generation to Multiple Cards
Dynamic Title Generation can also be applied to multiple compilation cards at the same time.
To do this:
- Choose a generation criteria, such as Name-Based Generation.
- Click "Apply to All".
Reports.re will automatically generate titles for all selected compilation cards based on the chosen settings and their related cards.
