The Compilation Wizard in Reports lets you quickly group cards into compilations based on criteria you define—saving you hours of manual sorting. You can decide how many compilations to generate, control which cards appear together, and even collect all approved files automatically for final delivery.
Follow the steps below to create compilations in just a few minutes:
1. Open the Compilation Wizard
- Go to the Cards section.
- Click "Compilation Wizard" icon in the top-right corner.
- The compilation wizard will open.
2. Define Your Compilation Settings
- Decide how many compilations you want to generate (e.g., 3 compilations).
- Set how many cards should appear in each compilation (e.g., 4 cards per group).
Define conditions for card selection:
- Never been together: Prevent certain cards from appearing together.
- Never been as neighbors: Ensure cards haven’t appeared next to each other before.
- Unique order: Maintain a unique order.
- No conditions: Allow generation without conditions.
- Unique set: Each compilation will be different from the others.
3. Generate Your Compilations
- Click "Generate" or "Deep Generate":
- Generate creates compilations based on your criteria.
- Deep Generate explores more variations.
- Review the compilations displayed.
- Adjust the order of cards in each compilation by dragging them.
4. Set a First Card (Optional)
- Click "Select First Card".
- Search or filter to find the desired card.
- Click "Save" to set it as the starting point.
- Click "Generate" again—the selected card will appear first in every compilation.
5. Create a Compilation Card
- Hover over the generated group and click "Create Compilation Card".
Enter the details manually or select a template to speed things up:
- Click "Create from template".
- Pick a template.
- Add a title.
- Click "Create Card".
- The compilation card will be created.
6. Collect Approved Files with a Job Scenario Collector (Optional)
- Hover over the job.
- Hover over the scenario icon and select a scenario (for example, "Compilation from Videos – EN").
- Go back to the Scenario tab and click the icon to queue and execute the scenario.
- This automatically gathers all finalized files from the approved Video Edition job within each card.
- Review the collected files listed in the File section for final delivery or repurposing.
7. Create a Job Scenario Collector Template
- Go to the top navigation panel and select Automation.
- Click Job Scenario Templates.
- Click "Create Job Scenario Template" at the bottom.
- Enter a title for your scenario.
- Select "Task Operation Files Collector" as the type.
Set the Source:
- Click "Set Source" to define where the files come from.
In "From What Cards", choose the relationship type:
- For compilation cards, keep the default "Consist of Cards".
- Optionally filter by card types, groups, or tags.
In "What Job", you can define:
- Job type
- Status
- Tag
- (Optional) Executor, partner, or other filters
In "What Files", define:
- Folder
- (Optional) Filter by file tags, checklist, or tag categories
Once everything is set:
- Click "Save".
- The source will appear in the list.
- Set the destination folder where collected files will be placed (e.g., Sources folder).
- Click "Add" to finalize your job scenario.
