Managing a large number of files can take time, especially when done manually. Reports.re makes this easier by allowing you to copy or delete multiple files at once. With filters and bulk actions, you can quickly organize and manage thousands of files across your workspace.
Copying a Large Number of Files
- Search or apply filters to find the files you need.
- For example, you can filter files from a specific group, task, and tag.
- Once the files are displayed, select all of them.
- Click "Copy All Files".
Pasting the Files
- Open the destination file manager where you want to paste the files.
- Right-click and select "Paste on Background".
Handling Duplicate Files
If some files already exist, you will be given options to control what gets skipped during copying:
- Whole Card: Skip files that already exist anywhere in the card, including tasks and chats.
- Card: Skip files that already exist in the card.
- Task: Skip files that already exist within the same task.
- Folder: Skip files that already exist in the selected folder.
- Subfolder: Skip files that already exist inside a subfolder.
After selecting your preferred option:
- Confirm the action when prompted.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
The copy process will begin and run in the background. You do not need to stay on the page while it completes.
Deleting a Large Number of Files
- Apply filters to find the files you want to remove.
- For example, filter files by group, file type, and the folder.
- Select all the files.
- Click "Delete All Files".
Confirming Deletion
Choose whether you also want to delete copies of the files:
- Click "Yes" to delete all copies.
- Click "No" to keep existing copies.
All selected files will be permanently deleted shortly after confirmation.
