Creating videos involves multiple steps from brainstorming and scripting to editing and publishing. Without a proper system, it’s easy for tasks, files, and responsibilities to become scattered.
Reports.re provides a simple, structured workflow that lets you manage your entire content creation process in one place, keeping everything organized and every team member aligned.
1. Create a Card for Each Video
Cards represent the topic or title of each video you plan to produce.
To create a card:
- Click the “Create Card” button on the top panel.
- Enter the card title.
- Select a group (e.g., Sir Zane Travel Video).
- Choose the card type (e.g., Content).
- Save the card.
Once your cards are created for every planned video, you’re ready to build your workflow inside each card.
2. Add Tasks to Build Your Workflow
Tasks represent each step in your production process.
For example, to start creating one:
- Open a Card.
- Hover to "Add this card" button and click "Task".
- Choose the tasks type (e.g., Writing).
- Assign an executor (e.g., Riley).
- Set the task status, such as Waiting.
- Save the task and it will appear inside the card.
Continue creating task for all steps in your workflow (e.g., Writing, Video Edition, Thumbnail, Upload to Platform), each with their own executors.
This gives you a clear visual map of your entire creation pipeline.
3. Uploading Files
When it’s time to share resources or references, you can upload files directly through the file manager.
To upload a file:
- Open a task.
- Go to the Files section.
- Click “Upload File” in the file manager.
- Select the file from your device.
- Once uploaded, it appears immediately for your team to use.
4. Prepare All Final Files for Publishing
After the workflow progresses and all executors have completed their tasks :
You can gather all ready files (video file, thumbnail, title & description document) into the Upload to Platform task.
To organize publishing files:
- Right-click and copy completed files from their respective tasks.
- Paste them into the Upload to Platform task.
This keeps all final assets in a single organized location, making the publishing step smooth and efficient.
5. Publish to Your Outlet
Once all final files are gathered:
- Select all the files.
- Right-click and choose “Publish to” and select an outlet (e.g., YouTube).
Within the Publication window:
- Reports.re detects the video content automatically.
- Allows you to set privacy status.
- Lets you mark whether the content is made for kids.
- Automatically identifies the publication type.
- You can choose the publishing method: Publish Now, Schedule for Later, or Save as Draft.
If you choose to schedule, you can:
- Enter a custom date/time, or
- Use an existing regular schedule (if available).
After clicking "Upload", your video will be processed and then scheduled for publication on the selected platform.
