Within a card in Reports.re, there are several types of IDs. Each ID is used for a different level of organization.
These IDs help you manage cards more easily, especially as your workspace grows.
Types of Card IDs
1. Card Custom ID
The Card Custom ID is the ID numeration within a group. This means the numbering resets for each group.
For example, in the Sir Zane Vlog group, each card has its own unique Custom ID. However, the same number can appear again in a different group.
This makes it easier to manage and identify cards within a specific group.
2. Card Workspace ID
The Card Workspace ID is the ID numeration across the entire workspace. Each card has a unique Workspace ID within the same workspace.
This is useful when working with teammates, partners, or external collaborators, as it avoids confusion between cards.
3. Card ID (Global ID)
The Card ID is the global ID across the entire platform.
This ID is completely unique and does not repeat, even across different workspaces.
It is the most precise way to identify a card.
How Card IDs Help You
Card IDs are useful for:
- Referencing a specific card clearly
- Tracking progress across tasks
- Reporting issues without confusion
- Quickly finding cards without scrolling or filtering
For example, if you are working within a group and know the Custom ID, you can instantly locate that card.
