In Reports.re, you can schedule content to publish automatically based on defined time slots. This keeps posting consistent, especially if you publish frequently.
However, plans can change. For example, you might start with three daily posts at 8 AM, 10 AM, and 12 PM for 14 days starting, from July 7 to July 20, but later decide to reduce it to just two posts a day. When this happens, some scheduled posts may no longer match your updated slots.
To keep everything aligned, you can use the Bulk Schedule Match assistant to quickly realign posts with your current time slots—without having to edit them one by one.
1. Understand the Two Methods
Delete and Republish Future Slots
If you choose to delete and republish future slot (e.g., the 10 AM slot), Reports automatically checks for any posts scheduled at that time:
- Any remaining posts are reassigned to available slots (like 8 AM or 12 PM).
- The overall publishing period extends automatically (e.g., from 14 days — July 7 to July 20 — to about 21 days — July 7 to July 27).
Delete the Slot Only
If you delete a slot but don’t republish it, posts previously scheduled at that time stay unmatched.
- This creates a mismatch between scheduled posts and active slots.
- You’ll need to realign them manually using Bulk Schedule Match.
2. Open Batch Schedule Match
- Go to the top-left navigation panel and click "Posts".
- Under the "Tools" tab, select "Bulk Schedule Match".
- A window will open where you can start adjusting posts.
3. Select Your Channel and Content Type
- Choose the channel you want to update (e.g., your Facebook page).
- Select the content type (e.g., Photo Post).
- Pick the schedule you want the posts to match (it can be the updated version of the same schedule or a completely new one).
4. Get Unmatched Posts
- Click "Get Unmatched Posts".
- Reports will identify all posts still scheduled at times that no longer align with the selected schedule.
5. Set New Publishing Times
- Select all unmatched posts.
- Click "Set New Publishing Time".
- Reports.re automatically moves the selected posts into the appropriate time slots based on the updated schedule.
Your previously scheduled posts—such as those originally set for 10 AM—are realigned with your current schedule (e.g., 8 AM and 12 PM). As before, the total schedule period extends (for example, from 14 days — July 7 to July 20 — to about 21 days — July 7 to July 27) because posts are redistributed into fewer slots per day.
